Services provided on a limited basis to complement the care provided by caregivers. Examples of supplemental services include, but are not limited to, home modifications, assistive technologies, emergency response systems, and incontinence supplies.

The Division of Senior and Disabilities Services is a division within the Alaska Department of Health and Social Service that is responsible to promote health, well-being and safety for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and vulnerable adults by facilitating access to quality services and supports that foster independence, personal choice and dignity.
|Short Term Assistance and Referral Program|
The Short-Term Assistance & Referral Programs (STAR) are available to assist persons in learning what is required to meet the definition of developmentally disabled, navigating the eligibility process and understanding what services, other than waiver, may be available.

Medically necessary equipment to help a person control, interact with or perceive their daily environment
|Specialized Private Duty Nursing Service|
Nursing care provided by a licensed nurse as prescribed by an attending physician.
|Supported Employment Service|
Long term support in a work setting due a person’s disability-intensive ongoing support need.
